　　正德十六年八月庚辰朔礼部尚书毛澄等言 兴献王称号臣等前已二次会议皆据宋儒程颐濮议以为 皇上宜称 兴献王为 皇叔父兴献太王夫 兴献王于 皇上为本生父必改称叔父者明大统之尊无二也然加皇字于叔父之上则凡为 皇上伯叔诸父皆莫能与之齐矣加大字于王之上则天下诸王皆莫得而并之矣 兴献王称号既定则 王妃称号亦随之天下王妃亦无以同其尊矣况 皇上养以天下所以乐其心不违其志岂一家一国之养可同日语哉此实孔子所谓事之以礼者其他推尊之说称亲之议似为非礼推尊之非莫详于魏明帝之诏称亲之非莫详于宋程颐之议至当之礼要不出于此矣并录魏明帝诏廷览 上命丹会官详议以闻
