　　嘉靖七年十二月戊辰朔宣府滴水崖堡官军郭春小蔡旺等数十人怨其债主牵诉频数群聚擐甲不服追逮官司虑生变为逐其债主下令抚谕之春等益横肆无忌鼓行劫掠至殴击烧荒官军夺其马匹器械伪称大王天师知事等号巡抚都御史刘源清密遣军卒捕之为春等所觉遂放火烧官草二万余驱堡人登城拒敌伤官兵甚众副总兵刘渊乃遣人执旗晓谕散其胁从春等四人自刭死小蔡旺等十余人就擒源清以其事闻请当各犯以谋叛律都察院覆言在律强盗得财不分首从皆斩而例有强盗放火伤人及聚至百人以上者奏请审决枭示之文此小蔡旺等所犯正条不为不重源清欲用重典绳乱军故拟以谋叛欲并罪其妻孥没入其产然于法太深矣宜依正条拟罪为当报可是时小蔡旺等多瘐死狱中惟钱保监候乃斩保于市戮旺等尸俱枭首妻子免坐而籍其赀产以偿所烧官草云
