　　嘉靖十二年九月庚子朔公侯驸马伯徐延德等以  皇子诞生各献马称贺赉币有差  先是命给事中曾汴勘蓟镇巡抚王大用及参将袁继勋先后失事状至是汴勘明奏覆谓蓟镇失事其大者有五一犯冷口再犯擦崖者朵颜夷打哈也由于总兵杨镇通事序班王远二人者贪鄙乖张凡夷人纳贡袭职不分应否准贿是视以致怨望决裂法当首论三犯大喜峰关者亦打哈倡之而济恶脱来也由于巡抚王大用谬凭故牍经营雾灵山寔开边衅藉口敕书货马喜峰口遂启戎心谋疏武备不竞罪亦难辞四犯密云大小峪关五犯黄花镇擦石口俱野达通汉老究为之此夷原不受武约束非有隙端特以界守不严兵防无备此则参将袁继勋懦怯寡谋之罪耳下都察院议覆镇等下抚按官逮问继勋以守备不设论罪远发边卫充军
